Fran Macpherson

Elected Director, AME BC
President, Accurate Mining Services Ltd.

Fran Macpherson is the president of Accurate Mining Services Ltd, an independent consulting company operating out of the city of Quesnel in the northern Cariboo region of central BC.  The company has been in operation for seven years and provides property management and permitting services to junior exploration companies in BC and elsewhere in North America.

Fran has worked in the mineral exploration industry since 1993, as a second stage career. She spent more than 10 years working for a number of exploration companies throughout BC, starting from the ground up digitizing map data, then moving on to personnel management and finally site management and early stage mine planning.  Currently she is the Regional Operations Manager for Williams Creek Gold Ltd, and successfully manages its various exploration and drilling programs from budget planning through execution.

Fran is a director of Brocade Metals Corp, an active member of the Prince George Exploration Group (PEG) and Vice President of the Quesnel & District Chamber of Commerce where she actively lobbies on behalf of the mineral exploration and mining sectors.  The PEG group has nominated Fran to represent its interests on the AME BC Board. Last year, she was instrumental in successfully presenting resolutions to the BC Chamber of Commerce that ultimately resulted in additional funding for the Geological Survey Branch and Geoscience BC, as well as addressing the ongoing hurdles inherent in mineral exploration permitting.

Fran holds two psychology degrees, a BA from McGill and an MA from the University of New Brunswick.
