Kendra Johnston

Kendra is a Geologist with Silver Quest Resources, a Vancouver based exploration company focusing on building grass roots gold and silver projects in British Columbia and Yukon.  Prior to her time with Silver Quest, she was both the Investor Relations Manager and Geologist for Atna Resources, and worked as a Geological Assistant with the BC Geological Survey.  Kendra graduated with a B.Sc. in Earth and Ocean Sciences from the University of Victoria in 2005. Her wide range of experience has exposed her to technical and business aspects of the industry.  She has been involved in both mining and exploration projects and has gained experience in the corporate capacities of communications and corporate development. 

Kendra has been an active volunteer throughout her career.  She has been on AME BC’s Roundup planning committee for the past 7 years, where she is responsible for the Student Industry programs, planning and hosting the Field Trips, and helping to organize the Short Courses.  Kendra also volunteers her time for the Mining for Miracles campaign and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Slo-Pitch Committee, which raises approximately $425,000 each year.  She also enjoys volunteering with the Mineral Education Group, teaching kids about geology at various events throughout the year.
