Michael R. J. McPhie

Michael is a senior mining executive with more than 20 years of domestic and international operational and project development experience. He currently serves as President and CEO of Curis Resources Ltd., a next generation copper development company this is part of the well known Hunter Dickinson Group. He has served as an officer and a director of a number of public and private companies and was the former President and CEO of the Mining Association of British Columbia and a Senior Policy Director with Natural Resources Canada. 

Mr. McPhie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University, a Master of Science degree from Royal Roads University and is a registered Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) certified by the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice.

Michael serves on several private and public company board of directors including Silver Quest Resources, Independence Gold Corporation and Curis Resources. Michael is also currently Chair of the Board of Governors of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), the Chair of the Board for the Association for Mineral Exploration of British Columbia, a member of the BC Business Council, Arizona Mining Association and is a Director and Vice Chair of the Fundraising Committee of the Britannia Beach Historical Society.
