Robert Boyd

Mr. Boyd is a mining executive with almost 35 years experience in exploration, executive-level management, corporate finance and corporate governance. Mr. Boyd is currently President and owner of Cooper Jack Investments Ltd, a private company active in the resources and real estate sector. Mr. Boyd also currently serves as Lead Director for Peregrine Diamonds Ltd, non-Executive Chairman for True North Gems, Director of Endurance Gold, Director of Condor Resources, Director of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada, and Director of the National Maritime Centre Society. He formerly served briefly as President, CEO and Director of Athabasca Potash and was formerly the President, CEO and Director of Ashton Mining of Canada Inc, a leading diamond exploration company. Mr Boyd was also formerly a founding principal and major shareholder of a financial and strategic advisory firm, and also formerly Vice President Exploration for Homestake Canada Limited.

Mr. Boyd is a geologist and gemmologist. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of BC, the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Society of Economic Geology and a fellow of the Geological Association of Canada, and a fellow of the Gemmological Associations of Great Britain and Canada.

Mr. Boyd has been a Director of AME BC since 1997 and presently serves on the AME BC Finance Committee. From 1992 through to 2006, Mr. Boyd served as a member of the Roundup Organizing Committee including seven years as conference chairman. Mr. Boyd has also provided volunteer advice to the Board and executive of AME BC on corporate governance issues and has also previously served on three Search Committees for key AME BC staff.
