McCarthy-Tetrault Sam Adkins is a lawyer in the Vancouver office of McCarthy Tétrault LLP. His practice is in the area of general corporate and commercial law, advising clients in a wide range of industry sectors, particularly in the mining and resource sector. Sam also has extensive experience advising clients with respect to First Nations issues in both BC and across Canada. Sam received his B.A. from the University of Victoria and his LL.B and BCL. from McGill University. Sam actively advises clients in the mining sector in respect of the acquisition of mineral properties and interests, including providing advice with respect to mineral title and regulatory issues. He is frequently called upon to draft and negotiate limited partnership, option and joint venture agreements for both major and junior mining companies. Sam also advises government, Crown corporations and industry on First Nations issues and the consultation process. He has been a speaker at several national conferences on Aboriginal and Mining law and has published a number of articles on Aboriginal law issues. |
