| | Scott Weston Elected Director, AME BC Hemmera As a passionate advocate for the mining community, Scott is enthusiastically involved in several community associations including chair of AME BC’s 100th anniversary task force, organizing member of the AME BC round-up committee, and Vice-Chair of the AME BC land-use committee. He also serves as a member on MABC’s environment committee. Being actively involved allows Scott to create opportunities to promote mineral exploration for mining communities across BC. Scott leads the growth and development of the mining business at Hemmera as a business leader in environmental consulting. He has a bachelor of science degree from UBC in physical geography and geology, and a master’s of science in environment and management from Royal Roads University. His thesis was focused on the effects of climate change on natural systems and infrastructure. His diverse career portfolio includes mineral and aggregate development, forestry, highway expansion, wind energy development, municipal infrastructure, rapid transit development, across Western and Northern Canada. |
