AME BC Awards

The AME BC Awards are presented annually to individuals or teams of individuals in recognition of their significant contributions, directly or indirectly, to enhance the mineral resource industry. The Awards are named in honour of eminent persons who are recognized for their distinguished service and contribution to the mineral exploration and mining industry and who were also long-time and loyal supporters of AME BC. The Awards are presented each year at AME BC’s annual Mineral Exploration Roundup conference in January, and are adjudicated by the AME BC Awards Committee.

Do you know someone who deserves recognition for their outstanding achievements, and contributions to the industry? If so, nominate them for an award! Click here for the nominations brochure for detailed information on the awards and nominations process.

To complete your nomination, please forward the following to Simone Hill, AME BC Manager, Special Events (shill@amebc.ca):

  • A completed copy of the nomination form, or complete the online form
  • Nomination letter addressed to Brian Butterworth, Chair, Awards Committee
  • 2 supporting letters addressed to Brian Butterworth, Chair, Awards Committee

The deadline for 2011 nominations has now past. The deadline for 2012 nominations is Friday, September 28, 2012. 

In addition to the awards listed below, AME BC also administers an Outreach Education Fund. The 2011 application deadline for this fund has now past. The deadline for 2012 applications is Friday, September 28, 2012.

AME BC also recognizes current and former AME BC members via the AME BC Honourable Service Roll. The AME BC Membership and Liaison Committee reviews nominations and recommends additions to the Honourable Service Roll to AME BC’s Board of Directors. The 2011 nomination deadline has now past. The deadline for 2012 nominations is Friday, October 12, 2012.
