Since 2001 Jim has been a partner of De Visser Gray LLP, a public accounting practice based in Vancouver which he initially joined as a staff member in 1997.  Jim had qualified as a Chartered Accountant in British Columbia earlier in 1997, after graduating from both Simon Fraser University (BA, 1990) and the BC Institute of Technology (Dip. T., 1993).  He grew up in Port Moody and currently resides in Vancouver.

De Visser Gray LLP is a four partner firm with approximately 10 additional staff, comparable in terms of size to its clients and also to the staffing level of AME BC itself. The firm is focused on the provision of audit and related compliance services to smaller public companies in the mineral exploration sector, and services the largest cluster of such companies of any firm of its size in Vancouver.

Jim has served as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee since 2004.  He is also a founding director and Secretary-Treasurer of Geoscience BC.
