Ph: 604.630.3921 snorris@amebc.ca | Shannon Norris Director, Member Relations and Events Shannon first worked with AME BC on Mineral Exploration Roundup 2005 as the contract Trade Show Administrator. She returned to AME BC in May 2007 and has held the positions of Coordinator, Special Events, and Manager, Special Events. She was promoted in August 2010 to Director, Member Relations and Events. Shannon has over 10 years of event planning experience. In addition to her work with AME BC, she has worked with Tourism Whistler, Tourism British Columbia and 2010 Legacies Now. Shannon earned her business diploma in Tourism Management from Capilano University in 2001, and completed her business degree in Tourism Management in 2005. In addition, she earned an Associate Certificate in Event Marketing from BCIT in 2010. Shannon regularly volunteers for Lions Gate Hospital Foundation fundraising events, as well as other special events in the Lower Mainland and Whistler areas. Shannon directs the delivery of Mineral Exploration Roundup and the many other special events hosted by AME BC, as well as the membership initiatives of the association. She is an active member on the Roundup, Awards, Membership Liaison, Golf, Speaker Series, and Old-Timer’s Committees. Shannon lives in Vancouver with her husband Aaron. |
