Speaker Series: December 2010
The first installment of the 2010/2011 AME BC Speaker Series was held on December 9, 2010. Our guest speakers included the Honourable Randy Hawes, BC Minister of State for Mining; and the Honourable Pat Bell, BC Minister of Forests, Mines and Lands.

The AME BC Annual Photo Contest is all about depicting mineral exploration at its finest. All year we have been on the lookout not only for amazing photographs, but photographs that tell the story of what exploration is really all about. Here are the winners for 2010.

2010 AME BC Invitational Golf Tournament and Fundraiser
The 18th Annual AME BC Invitational Golf Tournament and Fundraiser was held on Tuesday, May 18, at Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country Club in Richmond. Winning Team: Jon Bey, Brad Cooke, Dan Nixon, Marty Rendall, Jaclyn Ruptash.

"Enabling Development – Reconciling Values" Taking place on April 30, guest speakers included: Honourable George Abbott, BC Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation; and Gwaans (Beverley Clifton Percival), Member and Negotiator, Gitxsan Hereditary Chiefs; Chair, BC All Chiefs’ Task Force.

Mineral Exploration Roundup 2009 
The theme for Roundup 2009 was "The New Era of Exploration". It was held at the Westin Bayshore Vancouver between January 26 and 29, 2009 and had a record of 257 tradeshow booths and 5,800 registrants from 48 countries.

Speaker Series: April 27, 2009
The second and final installment of the 2008/09 AME BC Speakers Series featured a presentation, Silk purse or sow's ear? Legislating the New Relationship with First Nations in BC, by Mr. Geoff Plant, Partner, Heenan Blaikie. The event took place on April 27 at the Terminal City Club, Vancouver.

Speaker Series: December 11, 2009
The second installment of the 2009/2010 Speaker Series took place over lunch on Friday, December 11 at the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. Our guest speaker was Mr. Don Lindsay, President & Chief Executive Officer, Teck Resources Limited.

2009 AME BC Invitational Golf Tournament and Fundraiser 
The AME BC Invitational Golf Tournament and Fundraiser includes a round of golf, and a buffet dinner reception – complete with prizes for all participants! The 17th annual tournament took place on May 21, 2009 at Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country Club in Richmond.
