THE CHALLENGE
One of the most challenging hurdles facing Canada's mining industry, and indeed the industry around the world, is ineffective negotiation between companies and Indigenous communities. From the Northwest Territories to Argentina, the creation and implementation of effective and innovative Agreements is the most important goal for mutual development.
OUR VISION
Learning Together (LT) believes in the positive economic impact exploration and mining development can bring to Aboriginal communities, so our role is to ensure that all communities across Canada have access to this information from their peers, and to bring communities together to share experiences and best practices.
The goal of the LT conference is to bring industry and communities together into an interactive learning environment. Through relevant workshops and case studies, the mineral industry learns what it takes to carry out meaningful negotiations, and Aboriginal communities learn about the issues facing the industry.
