Infrastructure
Mineral exploration and mining, like most resource extraction industries, is heavily reliant on access to airports, roads, railways, electrical transmission and ports. AME BC advocates for ongoing infrastructure development, improvements and access to infrastructure on behalf of the mineral exploration and mining community as well as for the rural communities in which our members live and work.
Most recent AME BC has been a strong supporter of the Highway 37 Coalition, which advocates for a high voltage transmission line along Highway 37 in British Columbia’s northwest - an area of considerable identified mineral potential.
