Access British Columbia Society
The Access British Columbia Society is a society built from a public user perspective. Its mission statement is as follows:
The “Access British Columbia Society” is committed to responsible use of crown lands for industrial, commercial and recreational purposes. It is dedicated to provide leadership and support to members, other organizations and affiliates to promote access policies and practices to ensure continued and mutual use of these lands.
Access British Columbia’s objectives include developing access policies that allow traditional recreational uses for berry picking, firewood harvesting, wildlife viewing, exploring, hiking, fishing, hunting, and camping as well as industrial uses such as trapping, mineral, coal, oil and gas exploration, and forest harvesting.
