Event Summary: Women in Mining Canada invites the global mining community to attend the 3rd annual Women in Mining International Networking Reception. This interactive event is a platform to, network and learn from your peers, share knowledge and experiences, build relationships and create new business contacts. Presenter: Courtnay Bush, MASc student UBC mining and Program Coordinator for the Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MiHR)
Event Summary: Its PDAC week! We will have Pudin Donuts And Coffee waiting for you, and a presentation about the current labour research that MiHR and WIM are working on with regards to women in the mining industry and in the education system. Courtney will also provide a brief overview of the council and the resources available to both career seekers and industry professionals, and finally she will outline some volunteer opportunities, and how WIM members can get involved with MiHR in attracting and retaining diversity for the industry. Come and join us, tell us what you would like to have in the next brown bag lunches and if you just came from PDAC let us know how it was! |

This two-hour forum will feature 5-6 panelists from various aspects of the mining industry discussing how their careers evolved, and the challenges they faced, or continue to face along the way.
