In addition to our Brown Bag notice and further to the announcement we made during our recent Annual Gala, we would like to inform you about a BC survey for women employed in the Exploration and Mining Industry.
This survey asks participants about their experience as a woman employed in the Exploration and Mining industry. The online survey is a joint initiative of the BC Mineral Exploration/Mining Labour Shortage Taskforce on behalf of the APABC, AMEBC and MABC. Results of the survey will be incorporated into a report aimed at Industry, Government and Educators, which will make recommendations with respect to attracting and retaining women to the Exploration and Mining Industry in BC. The survey is anonymous and will take 10 minutes to complete. Women who complete the survey are eligible to win 1 of 5 $50 Visa Gift Cards. The survey runs until June 17, 2011: http://app.fluidsurveys.com/s/employedwomeninminingbc/
If you are a woman working in the industry your participation in the survey is important and valued. Additionally, if you are the person responsible for Human Resources in your organization, please forward this communication onto all women who work in your company. For any questions or further information about the survey, please contact: Christine Vandebeek 604-825-2305 or, email info@howegroup.ca
